London holds a special place in our hearts, and it's our absolute favourite destination in the world. If you're considering spending a few days there either before or after the wedding (which we highly recommend!), please peruse the following for some of our preferred sightseeing routes and recommendations.

London Walking Tour
Giav’s Two-Day Walking Tour: (Best for first-time visitors)
This is the route we recommend to see most of the important must-see sights in a short amount of time. It does require a fair bit of walking, but you can always jump in a car or train to speed things up!
Day 1
Kick off your day by seeking out a local pub for a hearty, full English breakfast! Following that, hop on a train to Westminster and explore the iconic square, where you'll encounter landmarks like Big Ben, the London Eye, and Westminster Abbey.
While you have the option to cross the bridge for a ride on the London Eye, our personal recommendation is to enjoy the best view right next to Big Ben, where you disembark from the train. Crossing the bridge isn't essential, but it does make for a picturesque spot for photos. Spending around an hour in this square should suffice.
Once you've soaked in the sights, take a leisurely stroll through St James Park to reach Buckingham Palace. Admire the palace and its fountain before making your way up the "mall" to Trafalgar Square. If you fancy a museum visit, the National Art Gallery is there, and it's free to enter.
Additionally, explore the surrounding pubs for a delightful break. Conclude your day in Covent Garden, exploring the covered market and indulging in treats from Ben's Cookies.

For a substantial meal, consider Dishoom, a popular Indian restaurant (reservations recommended). Feel free to linger in this vibrant area for as long as you like, and remember; you can always save time by opting for cars or trains between squares.

Day 2
Commence your day at the Tower of London, home to one of our favourite gift shops if you're in need of souvenirs. Afterwards, take a scenic walk across Tower Bridge. Consider purchasing tickets to ascend the tower, where a glass floor walkway awaits – both thrilling and fun.
Your ticket also grants access to the bridge's engine room. Stroll along the river, perhaps stopping at Borough Market for a diverse array of delectable food stalls.
If you prefer a sit-down meal, Hawksmoor offers an excellent roast (especially on Sundays). Continue your leisurely walk along the Thames, with opportunities for refreshments and entertainment during the summertime.
Follow the river until you reach Shakespeare's Globe, situated next to Tate Modern, another enticing museum option (free admission).
Cross the Millennium Bridge to conclude your journey at St Paul's Cathedral. While tickets are available for entry and even a climb to the top, appreciating the cathedral from the outside is equally rewarding. Enjoy the breathtaking view or explore the interior, depending on your preference.
A few of our Favourite Things
Fortnum & Mason
An extraordinary gift emporium and food haven est. in 1707. Words hardly do it justice, but this establishment is an absolute gem for procuring delightful gifts to bring home. Offering an array of teas, cookies, snacks, picnic baskets, boasting a full grocery store and a wine bar at its bottom and a hidden bar on the third floor, it's a must-visit destination. It is also the birthplace of the scotch egg - be sure to get one here if you stop by!
F&M is also one of our favourite places for high tea. The entire top floor is dedicated to a charming tea room, The Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon; reservations are essential but completely worth it.

Mr. Fogg's bars
For a unique and memorable drinking experience, consider any of Mr. Fogg's bars. Locations are throughout the city, each with a unique theme and menu. The decor alone is worth a visit. Personal favourites include The Residence and House of Botanicals, but rest assured, any of them promises a delightful time.
The Lanesborough Hotel
The Library Bar in The Lanesborough Hotel stands out as a personal favourite in London. With incredible vibes and an impressive drink selection, it's a must-visit spot. Their “library” of drinks includes Napolean-era cognacs and a breakfast martini made with marmalade (invented at the hotel). Don't miss out on Iav's preferred "Gaspari Manhattan" or Gia's choice, "The Scene Stealer." Reservations recommended.
Beyond the bar's allure, The Lanesborough Hotel itself is a remarkable venue for afternoon tea, making it a fantastic alternative to Fortnum & Mason.
While you're at The Lanesborough, be on the lookout for their charming hotel cat, Lillibet, and say hi to Sandro for us if he is behind the bar!

Pollen Street Social
For an exquisite dining experience, consider Pollen Street Social. The tasting menu during lunch is well worth it. With exceptional service and surprise courses, you can easily spend a few hours here, making it a fantastic spot for a memorable meal in the heart of London.
If Time Allows
If time allows, catching a show in the West End is highly recommended. The vibrant performances are truly worth the experience, adding a touch of theatrical magic to your London visit.
Hang out in King’s Cross. This canal-front location has shops, restaurants, bars, performances and even an outdoor theater during the summer months!
Book tickets for the Avora London cocktail experience. It requires a few hours of your time but this immersive, theatrical bar experience is brought to life through awe-inspiring theatrical sets, unique cocktails and a cast of talented actors.
